Mass-Marketed Vintage Rolex?

Anybody else see that WOOT.com is now selling vintage rolex? It will be interesting to see how this plays out and how it will affect the hobby. The pieces that they have for sale are certainly not pieces I would want to own, particularly given the price points. I wonder if this will be the beginning of the vintage market becoming main stream...

Woot is a pretty cool "daily deal" site with, generally, good deals on neat stuff. Disappointing to see them dust off common old Rolexes for a grand above market, as so many others have done.

It is a pretty well-known site, at least here in the US. I believe it is owned by amazon.com. Maybe it won't change things much if the site isn't as well-known as I had thought...

I'm from the US and have never heard of woot.com. If it's anything like those rip off bid sites I'd pass.

It is a very well know store that started off with 12 dollar daily graphic Ts. From great artist.. Then they got into daily deals of all types. They can be trusted.

Why not. There are millions and millons of old Rolex around, why wouldn't larger retailers want to get in on it. Ralph Lauren, J. Crew and others have been selling Rolex for years.
