Demagnatizing a watch
Is there a simple way to demagnatize a watch at home? I have ordered a device from Hong Kong, ($9) to have in case this happens again, I was wondering if there was a way to do this with out such a device. Thanks

I'll report back once I get and try it out. It's got to work I saw it on You Tube!

I have heard a sharp rap with a hammer will De-magnetize a screwdriver. Maybe, that will work.

I just run the watch through a demagnetizer found at large department/hardware store checkout counters.

I received my $8 demagnatizer from China, followed the youtube video and presto it was demagnatized. However, my watch was still running fast. I called a Rolex AD and he referred me to a watch repair shop. I took it in and he did an adjustment, sorting was stuck. Now it keeps good time. He didn't charge me. Now I am back in business.
