Vintage Rolex running too fast

Hi!

I have a original rolex design, ladies datejust from around 1980's i have just had it fully serviced and received it today. I have noticed that it is running at 5 seconds too fast every minute! I have tried winding it 40 times, but still no luck. Any suggestions? Very annoyed as it was working perfectly fine before the servicing!

Thanks guys!!

where did you get it serviced? I'm sure Cosc specs is something around +/- 4 seconds max

also was this when wearing the watch or was the watch laid down at a side?

Take it back, it's either magnetised or need regulation

Take it back and have them adjust it.

You will need to take it back to whoever did the service.. It is either magnetized or oil has contaminated the hairspring, etc..

Nothing that a simple winding or delay will fix.

Welcome to the forum - sorry it was trouble that brought you here.

What should be a concern to you is why they would release it to you in such poor performance - 5 sec/minute should have easily been detected by their grapher.

If that has a 2035...don't demag it. It has a specially magnetized sweep seconds pinion to keep the second hand from skipping.

Sounds more like a sticky hairspring.
