Jubilee Bracelet Question

Today my customer wore a vintage acrylic crystal Datejust in SS on a Jubilee bracelet. Maybe it was just due to age, but the 3 rows of thin center links were brushed finish, just like the outer 2 rows of the wider edge links.

Modern SS Jubilee bracelets have polished center 3 rows with brushed outer 2 rows. Makes for quite a nice impression I think.

Were Jubilee bracelets all-brushed finish back in the day?

Or was this a matter of wear and scratches taking away the polished look ?
