GMT hand out of sync
Good morning all,
I thought I'd ask if any of you have ever had an issue with your GMT hand not keeping accurate time. Recently, I had set the 24 GMT hand to GMT time which at the moment is approx. 1:00 PM GMT. I am on eastern time - 9 am. I noticed after about a week that at 9 am eastern time, the GMT hand was displaying 10 am when it should have been displaying 1 PM. The hour hand is keeping accurate time so I'm not sure why the GMT hand is out .... In other words it would appear that the GMT hand had lost 3 hours. Has this happened to anyone else? |

Things like that happen to me when I am working on 2 hours of sleep. I would try setting it again and seeing if it happens again. If so rolex should fix it for you no questions asked |

If the GMT hand is exactly in the right spot from an hour vs. minute hand position, you may need to re-evaluate if it was not somehow OE (Operator Error). The GMT hand does not move in hour increments, but in concert with the minute hand, so to lose 3 hours yet still be aligned with the minute and hour hand positioning would be quite coincidental. If not aligned with minute and hour hand positioning and it would then be broken.

In any event, the 24 hr hand is physically geared to and run by the drive-train and so it must make one revolution every 24 hrs and cannot deviate. If you now suddenly see such a disparity I would say "operator error" barring further investigation/information..

Thanks guys, I've reset the GMT hand and as of this morning at 9 am eastern its reading perfectly. Not sure what's going on but I will monitor over the next week and see if it stays in sync. thank you,
