Where do you keep your bezel?

Curious, on the average day (i.e. when you're not diving), where do you keep your bezel?

At 12 o'clock?

or

Somewhere else?

Depends. Diving, I use as intend on my subs. Traveling, I use as intend on my GMTs.

I generally put it on the minute I went up to play Xbox because I tend to think 45 mins is more than it actually is and need to time it from my wife's perspective That and my 3 year old has taken a shine to watches and likes to spin it and I never know where it'll end up.

When not in use it rests on 12. The rotating bezel is used at least once a day.

12:00. I look at the 4 o'clock marker for example, it says 20 there, I know it's 20 after the hour.

When I had my Sub ND I used to keep it at the 3 o'clock, 15-minute mark. But I would also use the bezel as a countdown from cooking to other time-sensitive tasks.

Sometimes, someone will come up to me and tell me they only need five minutes of my time. Depending on the person, I will sometimes set the bezel insert, to get the point across. I have also found out that when the person knows they are on a deadline, they get to the point faster.

Other wise, unless I am timing something, I leave it at 12.

I don't dive. But whenever I clean the watch, after drying and polishing, I like to set the bezel to any of the quarter hour indicators.

I remember seeing a soft-core adult film where the male lead does this with his Submariner in meetings.

The funny part is he would prop it up on the conference table so everyone could see it, but when the camera zoomed in you could tell it was a fake because the second hand was going tick...tick...tick..!

Loser...

When not using it, I like it most at 12 or at 10, all the other positions make the watch look a bit too drunk.

The bezel is always centered at 12:00 on my Submariner and Sea-Dweller.
