Icon5 Pushers on Chrono

Hello. In specific, on the SMP chrono models, can the crowns surrounding the push buttons be screwed down just like the regular crown? Thanks.

No.
All Omega Seamaster Chronographs are water resistant AND fully operational under water all the way to the pressure marked on the back. They are the only watch company that has that. Also, they have no chronos that have screw in pushers. They just work.

PS: The Breitling Avenger M1 is the only other chrono that is fully operational under water and with no screw in pushers, but it is a SuperQuartz movement and the pushers are magnetic.

Thanks Chip, good to know. BTW, what makes the push buttons so special that it can be operated under water at the rated depth? Extra o-rings? Is there any literature from Omega that actually states the pushers can operate under water?

The Blancpain FF chrono has 300 m WR pushers, too.

The user manual, as far as I know.

None, I checked but not there.

[edit]:

You are right Bo, I checked the operating manual and it does mentioned it. Here is what it reads from here http://www.omegawatches.com/uploads/...ga/English.pdf on page 4:

Chronograph push-pieces: do not operate chronograph pushers under water in order to prevent water entering the mechanism. Exception: The Seamaster 300 M and 600 M Chronographs have pushers which function under water.
