I was at the Malibu AD a few years ago and I was talking to the owner and swapping watch stories a bit as I was on vacation and waiting for my wife to finish shopping. He said he had an usual piece, an "understated piece of sophistication" as he put it. He pulled out a leopard Daytona and about fell on the floor laughing. I didn't know him so I didn't realize he was putting me on. Best AD gag yet!
