I just noticed this, although the end links are solid. I would prefer an 100% solid bracelet with the new glidelock clasp. This is the only thing I dislike about this watch.

After owning my first Rolex (114060) for around a year I also bought a 16600.
But with the 16600 I was struggling with the adjustment of the bracelet to get the perfect fit and I didn't like the "loose fit" of the hollow links and the rattling noices so after 4 months I traded my 16600 for a new 116600.

In my case I wouldn't buy any Rolex model with an "old" type bracelet anymore because I think the glidelock clasps is perfect for me.

Thanks. I strongly dislike the newer bezel (old one is vastly superior), but aside from that, it is indeed an upgrade all around.

I prefer a heavy, hefty watch, with the old bezel. I think that the old 16600 combined with the new bracelet would be the perfect combination.

I've see pictures of the 16600 with the 114060 bracelet fitted so it can be done.

Your 16600 is perfect the way it is, save your money (a considerable amount) & enjoy it as it was designed, one day you will understand.

Thanks. I agree with this, but I DO like the solid center links! This is my only complaint!

People have very different opinions on that matter. Guys that can find a perfect fit with the old bracelet simply love it. Sadly I can't adjust the old bracelet so I only have one way. Buying a new bracelet + clasp to go with the 5 digit model is out of question for me because I can't accept paying 2k to mod a watch and solve a problem that belongs to Rolex.

SEL for me: time-resistent, light, BCL, less material around my wrist, and cheaper to replace then newer models. I adjusted mine to a perfect fit.
