Rolex produced each year
Can anyone tell me where I can find out how many watches that Rolex makes (for example Yellow gold sky dweller, or ss submariner) each year? Thank you.

Good luck finding that out. It's Rolex's biggest secret. I would guess about 950K watches per yr.

I found in multiple places that they produce about 2000 watches per day, but couldn't find the detail. Thank you for the feedback.

not by model but overall since all of rolex production is COSC certified, this number is it's max.... so actual watches produced is less than 800k
" The latest set of COSC data (for 2013) has confirmed the trio out in front, with Rolex (whose figures are up) in first place, Omega (whose numbers are down) in second and Breitling (with stable figures) in third place. Rolex, Switzerland’s leading watchmaker, certifies practically all its products. The COSC statistics therefore give a relatively interesting insight into developments at the brand with the crown. Last year, Rolex obtained 804,896, chronometer certificates—up slightly (+1%) on 2012 (798,935). But although Rolex certifies practically its entire production, this statistic of nearly 800,000 certificates issued should not be confused with the number of watches the brand actually sold last year. As is the case with every brand selling chronometer-certified watches, a proportion of the movements certified by Rolex are used for the purposes of after-sales service. But as this is a constant factor, the growth in the number of certifications remains an excellent indicator. Far be it from us to believe—or lead others to believe?—that Rolex has some of its movements certified twice in order to boost the stats. By breaking the barrier of 800,000 COSC certifications for the first time—at a rate of 3,200 certifications per working day—Rolex has bolstered its historic role as a leader in this field. These figures also support the recent declaration by Bertrand Gros, chair of the Board of Directors at Rolex, who asserted in the Swiss daily Le Temps that the Geneva brand had posted record results in 2013. Seen overall, besides the slight upswing that took place between 2012 and 2013, the 804,896 chronometer certificates obtained by Rolex last year represent an increase of nearly 10% on 2008, just before the crisis." -thewjournal.com |

Afraid only Rolex knows that one but we get a approximation with the amount of watches they make each year. Now they test around 8000000 movements at the COSC each year at one time back in the early 2000s it was over a 1000000 movements. All the gold/diamond type watches are not sold in the same volume as the SS.
