Seamaster Quartz

Hi all! I'm really enjoying reading all the info on this forum. Really great. My father gave me his old Seamaster Quartz which he bought in the 80's. Any information on this and whether it's worth getting this fixed? It hasn't been running for many years and needs a fair amount of refurbishment. Not too sure as to its value.

Welcome to the Forum.

I don't know much about the quartz models but I see that yours has an interesting and clean dial.

Quartz watches can build up some corrossion inside and the moving parts are mechanical so need some periodic cleaning and oiling just l ike their mechanical movement counterparts..

If it is repairable there are good watchmakers that might go through it for under a hundred bucks. Whether that is worth it, I cannot say.. You might contact a couple of the Service Centers and ask about an Omega Service..

Welcome to TRF. Nice old Omega. I agree with Larry, and depending on its sentimental value to you, it may be worth refurbishing, even if it isn't from a pure economic standpoint.
