Incoming........again.
To those who have read my posts will know that I acquired a BLNR last month as a birthday/Father’s Day present. Soon after receiving the BLNR, thoughts were already being had on what would be my next Rolex (this is normal from what I have read on this forum). It came down to either the Submariner 116610 LV or 116613 LB. A thread was started by me to see what other forum member opinions were between these two timepieces. After much thought, the LB was going to be my next purchase, but that would not happen for quite sometime, or so I thought.
Earlier this week, I received a call from my AD to advise he had received a 116610 LV. Not sure how the availability is on once of these in the rest of Canada or US, but it has been fairly “unavailable” in Vancouver, BC from my experiences over the past 6 to 12 months, very similar to the “unavailability” of the BLNR. I decided to check it out today. An offer was made on the watch that I could not refuse and now I find myself having purchased two Rolex watches in the span of 2 weeks. The last time this happened was in December of 2011. Feels like Christmas again. Although the LB was my preferred choice (tried it on again as my LV was getting sized), the fact that the LV is somewhat hard to obtain in my neck of the woods and a generous offer off of the MSRP was made, I chose the LV. I will post some pictures later today as I have a busy afternoon at the office. |

Thanks! Already have the Explorer II 16570 with white dial. The next one will most likely be a Submariner Date 116613 LB. Love the sunburst dial. It will be sometime before that happens. Maybe for my 40th birthday.

Congrats on another watch! The LVc is a great choice - ADs here don't offer any discounts on the watch however so glad you managed to snag one!

Did you see the $9,000 CDN BNIB ad on Craigslist?
