Why do I find myself always looking at this watch?

Been looking at a PO 8500 off and on for awhile now, but have never actually pulled the trigger. I just keep going to Omega ADs to tease myself.

I currently own a 16610LV, so maybe in my mind I cannot justify more than one diver style watch. Maybe I just have a thing for the look of a diver style watch, as I also cannot keep my eyes off the Tudor Black Bay (Blue) that was just released at Basel this year.

There's no hope for me!

Great looking watch, and unlike me, it fits your wrist well.

Thanks, the size is good, but the height is causing some hesitation on my part.

Because it's purty. But it didn't quite fit/feel good either and my experience tells me that means no wrist time. Of course, YMMV.

I LOVE the PO. IMHO it makes me feel happier wearing a PO GMT then my BLNR... That's just me. And then again I'm still in the honeymoon phase....

I have the BLNR as well (I'm blessed to have it and I really like it alot), so I have to consider whether adding another diver is too much.

We'll see how it all turns out...the PO is a looker for sure!

The BLNR isn't a diver so the PO wouldn't be adding another one.

I would have thought that 100 metres would be a deep enough rating for diving?

But as it turns out the Sub LV can't be called a 'diver' either.

According to ISO 6425.

The graduations on the dial are non compliant.

Rolex have addressed this with the new SD 4000 ceramic.

Don't know about ISO 6425, but if 100m WR is the only thing that makes a watch a diver then I suppose the SkyDweller is a diver too.

But as far as Rolex goes, all their divers have WR significantly higher than that, plus wet suit extensions on the bracelets, ET bezels (compliant or not), and HEV when appropriate.

Anyway, my post was really just meant to cosign him acquiring the PO.

No reason to need to justify it. Get it! And if you find yourself not wearing one as much as another one, sell it and get something else.

Or you may find you wear them all and love them all! It's worth trying it out if you find one at a great price!!!

That's because it is a beautiful well built watch! I too always look at this watch and have come close to pulling the trigger on this one... one day soon... I do need at least one Omega in my collection!
