Rolex daydate arrived!!

Guys, received my Rolex Daydate today, I have enclosed some pics further to the other ones added in my previous post. The dial when viewed is not as white as I thought but actually photographs white, its more of a cream than white.
Can anyone comment on the buckle, its not an 18k buckle but looks to be a SS one gold plated from what i've read??!! Or is it fake??

Can someone please comment on the hallmarks on the watch, I can only see 2 marks the '18K' one and another on the other lug but is there supposed to be a third???

It changes time and day/date as it should and has been serviced with receipt by an independent Rolex guy,(rang for clarification) so all appears to be 100% but would like the 'experts' here to confirm. The second hand looked a little shorter than previous datejusts I've had and not quite a smooth (could this be old movements)

Many many thanks!!!

I like it as well; what made you go without the president bracelet? I've been fighting to control that urge thinking that the bracelet adds something.

Congrats to the OP. Hogwldfltr, I bought my '74 Day-Date sans gold bracelet on a crocodile strap and now I am in the process of sourcing one. I really feel the gold bracelet is what makes the Day-Date what it is. Good luck and cheers!

What's wrong with the buckle? Is it a fake?

Always preferred them without, the bracelets look a bit too much bling for me. The leather band makes it look a far classier watch! IMHO

I need to see the stampings better but it is at best a steel buckle gold plated later and not by rolex. If it were originally gold plated it would have different stampings.

I did read o here that Rolex did outsource buckles for gold plating but i'm not 100% sure. I'll try and get a better picture of the markings.

Yes but trust me the stamping indicates it is gold plates not steel like yours.
