Will you hand down your Rolex?

I recently bought my son a new Sub for his college graduation. We had been looking at pre-owned since he was in High School. I also bought a GMT II for myself that I will 'pass on to him someday'. I can tell that he has my passion for watches and he will always remember this special time for us both. I'd love to hear stories about watches that gave been passed down or that will be. Anyone...?

That's my plan, if they have an interest for them. Luckily I have lots of kids so that is a good excuse to buy lots of watches ;-)

I've already given my Son my Sub C (116610LN) and he'll get the Hulk (116610LV) and Bluesy (16613) when I'm gone. It pays to be an only child.

I bought the BLNR specifically to one day pass down to my newborn son. We called him Chalupa Batman in the womb (fans of the show The League will get that) so the BLNR seemed appropriate. I plan to wear it regularly until that day comes so it will be something he connects to me over the years.

I don't have children of my own but I do have a niece and nephew I adore. They will get my watches. Of course, they need to be nice to their aunt.

Absolutely. My son will inherent everything I own, we're very close. I like to think I'll be around for another 25-30 years, however.

A little over a month ago, I did a "Hand Up" to my uncle who was always that perfect role model for me, I actually gave him a Rolex that I loved and was in my (then current) rotation. I truly believe that we should give our love ones their flowers while they/you are here. I also have kids that I have purchased watches for to mark an achievement or graduation. They will get the rest of my watch collection when the time comes.

My kids have already claimed my watches. My daughter wants the BLNR. My son wants gold. I told them they can have them when they pry it off my gold dead arm. I think I'd like to be buried on my Pepsi 1675 if it wasn't such a wast of an amazing watch.
