Dssd regulated at rsc london

Hi all.....just thought id praise the service i received yesterday in st james service centre.

I took my dssd in to have it regulated under warranty and expected to have to leave it 2 x weeks due to the extra pressure testing involve.

Ive been there before with other watches and they have always been really friendly and helpful....on this occassion they said they could do it in 20 minutes whilst i waited..

...... Fantastic....now its running spot on and they even gave me a rolex travel pouch....

By how much was your watch running outside the COSC spec to need regulation, and even if they only pressure checked to 300m plus watch will be fine for all water activities including scuba.

Fantastic. Good thing they didn't make up a bizarre reason why they couldn't fix it under warranty. RSC blamed me for why my DJ was losing 2 minutes a day.

Hi padi..

Only running 6-7 secs per day slow but when i spoke to rsc they said they prefered to run then a little fast if anything....

I wondered about the pressure testing.....do you think its possible they tested it to its full rating in the hypobaric chamber?

Not that im likley to visit the the ocean floor any time soon....swimming is as deep as it gets for me...

I don't know that the RSCs have the equipment necessary to fully depth test. This from the Rolex website:

"To guarantee water resistance to the extreme depth of 3,900 metres (12,800 feet), Rolex tests every single Rolex Deepsea that is made in a specially designed 1.3 tonne tank. The stainless steel hyperbaric tank, which is cast in a single piece, simulates the pressure at 4,875 metres (16,000 feet) below sea level, some 25 per cent greater than the depth indicated on the watch dial.

At this depth, the pressure exerted upon the crystal and the caseback is equivalent to a weight of 4.5 tonnes. This high-tech equipment was developed with COMEX (Compagnie Maritime d'Expertise), a renowned pioneer in underwater engineering and hyperbaric technology, with which Rolex has been collaborating for several decades."

But like Peter said, no worries if you're only swimming.
