PVD/DLC Services in the UK

Hi

I have purchased a spare OEM Rolex Daytona Bezel with the view of sourcing a reputable company to either DLC or PVD coat the bezel to a black ceramic effect gloss, and coat the engraved details in either white or silver.

I have a Steel Daytona with a panda dial and I'd like to fit the bezel to the watch as I think it would look amazing.

I will of course be keeping the original bezel as is so the modification can easily be reversed if necessary.

Can anyone recommend someone who could do this work for me?

I can PM you over a company in the UK who does outstanding work but does require you to have a watchmaker dismantle and rebuild they only do the DLC, I can get there details tonight when I get home.

One word of warning when I enquired the general advice was the etched numbers are not that deep and can causes issues when trying to colour white/silver!

I think the WG bezel looks so much better then the SS and did think about putting the WG bezel on a white SS Daytona!

Thanks I'd appreciate that. As my Daytona is a late 2013 random serial the white gold bezel will not fit.

Yeah there is that and not it would make it a WG copy with your dial, better to be a bit more unique!

I'll get the details over to you tonight, there is also IWW in the US which have good feedback on here.

Thanks that's great. Yeah all the modifications are using OEM Rolex parts and I have all the original parts so it is still 100% Rolex but also unique!!

You can check with Mike Young as well - a lot of vintage owners send their stretched bands to him for repair in HK and he also does PVD - might not be your cup of tea given he's based in HK, but in case you can't find a local contact!

Bamford are the way to go, if it looks like that pic then you're in for a real treat esp as I don't think a ceramic will be released in SS. A lot depends on the Coke, if that is in SS not PM then it might still happen.

Also Project X designs will work on customers watches unlike Pro Hunter, and looking on line they have done what you are after as in gloss effect DLC with coloured markers

Heres a DLC bezel on SS case
http://www.projectxdesigns.com/watch...tona-series-1/

Heres the gloss look DLC'd bezel at a better angle
http://www.projectxdesigns.com/watch...tona-series-2/

Maybe of some use

Would someone mind photoshopping that DLC black bezel onto Black Dial stainless steel Daytonas? Looks great on the white dial, would like to see how it looks on black.
