Discounts on GMTIIc ( SS)
Are the ADs giving discounts on the SS GMTIIc? Have not been able to find one in Houston area that will. Is the supply ample? Have AD with 1 in stock, but will not discount one penny.
Thanks texas tea |

Usually no discount due to no inventory. I got one only because of a local sports radio talk show host who I know referred me to a specific manager at an AD.
The Millguass seems to be in stock more then the GMT II C SS. I am debating selling my GMT to fund purchase of SS Daytona. |

No discounts in Dallas...demand just exceeds supply.

Talking about inventory issues a friend of mine went to switzerland last week and he went to a dealership. He found the GMT II C and they told him that there is a 1 1/2 year waiting list only in Zurich .
The funny thing is that the AD in the city that i live in can get you one in just 3 days how can this be possible? I mean the manufacturing country has less GMT II C's than the other European countries. And why are the shipping less to the US ?

The authorized dealer here is giving a 5% discount but the price being asked is over MSRP (MSRP after the new increased price that is). I didn't see the green sticker on the caseback which was a tad strange because it is a very nice and authentic boutique with a decent collection. It basically amounts to the same at the end of the day as the 5% increase counts for nothing.
The watch is really nice but the price being asked is unfortunately not. |

When I purchased mine a few months ago, I was given 10% off and no sales tax, the box was shipped to a friend out of state.
Worked great!! Cost with shipping $5,405 My AD is getting the 14.7% increase now and not discounting them. Wonder why the big change in policy? I am not complaining. Don |

$5400 plus tax. BEFORE price increase. I can see if my AD has one in stock, if you like?

Normally, you should be able to get up to 20 % on TT watches, but on this specific model I doubt you would get maximum 15 %.

You have to find another AD. Discounts can be had on most models.

I got my GMT II C SS for $5390 no tax included shipping overnight.
There are a few stocks that are so beaten up right now I am wondering if selling my Rolex and adding to a position would be a good move. Then in a year I can cash out, get the Rolex back and put siding on the house or take a trip to Atlantis. My wife works at Prudential and this solid company has been as high as $103 about three months ago...now trading around $75. With a price target of $120 and a new IPO a few years ago and it never split I should sell the Rolex and buy about 100 shares, once the tide turns and people realize that the they have little risk in the sub prime area, it will reach new levels, split, then reach new levels again. The other way to look at it is I have no kids, love the Rolex, have enough stock so why not enjoy the hell out of it. Live to the fullest!!!
