Attention Bostonians!!!
Since I'm pretty involved in the watch blogging world, one of my unavoidable tasks is staying up to date on social media. That's led to two things: a lot of time wasted, and a lot of drooling over amazing watches.
Anyone who follows watch folks on Instagram has inevitably come across the Red Bar Crew from NYC. Their GTGs are pretty epic, and I've grown quite jealous. What do you all say about trying to get our own "Red Bar Crew" going? I think we can go for something a little different...Newbury Watch Gang? I would be more than happy to organize, but I'd love to hear what kind of interest there is. Drop a line in this thread if you're down, and if you think you'd could get other folks in as well. -Shane

Good idea. I know a couple of folks who would attend. Perhaps it could be arranged at Shreve or European Watch...on Newbury? Or at Paul Duggan's shop at 333 Washington if they will accomodate?

Shreve would be the easiest for me, I'm pretty familiar with a few of the guys over there. We are also looking to get another meetup going from our Omega group a few months ago. I think it might happen next month. I'll keep you in the loop for sure. It might line up with another potential event I've been setting up with the CEO of Zeitwinkel. I'll continue to use this thread for info, maybe more folks will show interest.

I missed the last one and would love to attend. I often do "the tour" of Boston. I park near Kenmore and walk to the Common, stopping at all the AD's and dealers along the way. Its a good way to kill a few hours.
Keep me posted!

I work on Newbury and live in Back Bay. I'd be down to connect. Always good meeting new people.

I have zero interest in any kind of "Keeping up with the Jones'" scenario but absolutely interested in comradeship, watch-talking and getting together!!

If it is keeping up with the Jones', my gear might bring down the average - but if there is room for vintage Automatics and beer, I'm in.

I think this is a great idea. I'd be in for the next meeting.
I'd be coming from Central Mass, but it's easy enough. Jon |
