buying advice

Hi Guys,

As some of you might already have read, I recently lost part of my collection due to my house being broken in to. So now I'm in the market to buy a new watch.

My daily watch was a 16610, so I would like to replace it with a sub again. But I really don't like the new shape sub, so i have been looking for a NOS 16610, but those prices seem to go near 10K GBP. so I might as well go vintage.

I have no real knowledge of vintage subs yet, but I have found this.

I know the single red script is less valuable then the double, but does the rest add up, the bracelet looks new.

Why not buy from our trusted sellers here? Better deals and much better watches

And why do you need a NOS 16610…???

You can find great examples for WAY less...

So sorry to hear this. My Son recently lost a priceless family heirloom watch, not as a break-in, but theft by someone in the house.

I'm hoping you have a strong safe arrangement that will prevent this from ever happening again.

Best,

Ken

Sorry to hear about your loss. Best place to keep your watches is in a banks safety deposit box.

Thx for your kind words!

I have been looking for 1680 since but I don't know if i should pay more with a trusted dealer in london or if I should trust someone on chrono24. I have also put out an add on the wanted forum here.

does anyone know any good 1680's for sale?

I am not a fan of Chrono24 but your other choices, HQMilton - who is also a TRF member (Jacek) - would be my choice.

Good luck.

X3......2x 1680's, one white one red, 5513, and 1675 from Jacek. Very easy to work with and highly trustworthy. C24 is a mind field, and unless you're a seasoned collector, it is unfortunately easy to be taken advantage of.

Just read you lost your collection to a scumbag!!!! Does that mean also you lost your meteorite as well? That is one beauty of a watch. I hope you have insurance or better yet they find the scumbag and your watches! Any updates?
