Rory McIlroy Omega

I was watching the final round of the PGA yesterday and they had an Omega ad with Rory McIlroy in it a couple times. I'm new to the Omega scene, but I really liked the watch they showed (pictured below). Can anyone tell me more about this model, good or bad, and give me an idea of the cost? Thanks in advance

It's a Seamaster Aqua Terra. Retail in UK is about £3800 but you can get good discounts of circa 20-25%.

Really with the 8500 movement. They are great.

The back cover of this weeks Economist has an Omega ad with the AquaTerra Golf Edition. I would think it would be the same as in the ad you posted, but there are some little differences: the second hand is a different color, the date aperture has an applied outline (for lack of a better description), etc.

With that attitude, I'm surprised you didn't choose "ArchieLuxuryFanBoy" as your forum name.

ABTW recently had a great article on the new AT Master Co-Axial.

The new AT Master Co-Axial is stunning. It's hard to resist...

Once again a nice thread gets messed up by a nonsense comment.

This is the new model that was just released. Differences are removal of the date window, polished center links and the new anti-magnetic movement. The dial also looks like a richer black IMO.

Also, its $500 USD more expensive.

Hmmm, I'm liking the one with the brushed center links a little better. Actually prefer the date window for some odd reason. Good looking watch

Oh, thanks guys! I need to look closer at Omega's new offerings. I was so distracted by the new Seamaster 300 that I haven't even checked out the new AT's.

I love the look of the new ATs and have tried several on. My only beef with them is they are too thick with the new 8500 movement. The older models with the 2500 movement were more proportionally correct for my tastes.

I totally agree. The 2500 ATs were the perfect size. I really regret not picking up one for a deep discount when Jared stopped carrying Omega.

I got my AT 2500 at a 50% discount when a jewelry store in midtown was going out of business about eight years ago. In retrospect, I wish I had bought every last Omega they had in stock.
