FS: 1965 Tudor 7928 Submariner Tropical Chapter Ring w Box REDUCED
With regrets, one of my other passions has reared its head: Vintage bass guitars. And because one came along that I had to have (truly!), I'm forced to sell a recent acquisition. I bought this only a few months ago from HQ Miltion and am sorry to have to see it go.
I'm enclosing pics I took tonight, including two from Milton of the case back and the movement. Serial #: 505,XXX Case: Excellent thick case that has original bevels with wear from use. The bezel and faded insert are new replacement pieces from Rolex. The case back is stamped 7928 III. 65 Regrettably, a previous owner attempted to remove the case back with what appears to have been a pair of pliers, hence the scratches. Dial: Very Good Tropical Chapter Ring T SWISS T dial with silver print and patina from age. The dial has aged to a spotty brown color, especially noticeable in sunlight. The Tritium luminous material on hands and markers has aged to a creamy yellow and still glows briefly when put under light. Bracelet: Very Good USA C+I Rivet bracelet with 11 links and average stretch for its age, dated 1967. Accessories: Rolex Box The watch is running at COSC spec. Offered at: $5,300 I truly wish I could keep this but, financially, I cannot. |
