Montreal AD completely incompetent, don't know what to do (part replacement)

Hi all,

Ive decided to change my bezel on my black bay, as it was heavily damaged.

I go to the Ad in Montreal, and it takes them 3 months to get me a quote, only because i complained. Basically they would say "sure well get you a quote and call back". They would never call back. I would call and they would claim my request never occurred. So after 3 tries the idiots got a quote and i ordered. Eta 4-6 weeks.
After 2 months i call and they say "we dont have an order for that part in the system and for sure it was never ordered cause when we place orders we ask for a deposit". Are you kidding? The moron told me himself it was ordered....omg

So i request again for them to get me a new bezel, and take all the information on the person i spoke with; name, time, title etc..
They say they will ask for a quote from tudor. This was 2 weeks ago.Now they tell me its going to be hard because the watch is a new model and tudor may not have it...what?

Can i get in touch with tudor directly? I want to file a formal complaint, AND I WANT THE DAMN PART.

Tks

Gb

I am surprised, I have bought numerous watches from them, never dealt with service so I am not sure. If you are dealing for a rolex/Tudor you should call my local ad in Ottawa. Jubilee jewlers at the Rideau centre, they are really good.

Tourneau in NY photocopied (that's right photocopied) my Daytona 116520 when I asked if i was permitted to switch the dial from white to black. They also said that I would have to leave the watch with them.

do yourself a favour next time, after the first week waiting, call rsc in toronto. then tell them which ad to ship to. you only pay when the ad puts it on. not sure if they keep the old one after swapping.

The procedure u described seems to require some coordination, which i doubt the montreal ad is capable of.....
Ill try it anyway

that may be but it allows an opening to offer rsc toronto some feedback on the ad. their district manager (or whatever they're called in rolexland) will look into it.

It gets better.
They got the bezel...replaced it, amd scratched the watch in a visible way...then they did a slight polish. Ok less visible but still there.
The bezell.aahhhhhh. It barely moves....i tell them, not buttery at all...They say its normal, u need to break it in.
"Liscen moron, go get me a brand new one, and spin it then tell me" the guy was red.
They are fixing it now, but i am terrified of what they will do....
What should i do?

That's odd, i've always had a great service experience with Chateau. Did you buy the watch from them? Just wondering if that changes anything regarding getting a watch serviced. I hope you get it all worked out.

I did. They also once told me they could not regulate the watch without voiding the warranty.

I went to gambard and they had a good laugh

Good Lord GB this sounds like a nightmare, please keep us posted. As a side question- can an independent with a Rolex parts account get Tudor parts? This might be the way to go...

If it happened to me, I would flip the current one and buy another BB, the hassle is too much, I feel your angst my friend.

Sometimes I wish AD employees have the knowledge of our members..

Best of luck and do keep us posted.

I recently moved to montreal; this little tale kind of makes me reluctant to deal with Chateau d'Ivoire... Guess I'll save any potential purchase for family visit trips to Toronto.

Nobody i know has anything good to say about chateau. They are like used car salesman, they dont know anything about the watches they sell, they just bullshit, and overpromise.

I am surprised, I have bought two Panerai from them, I am in Ottawa have made the drive just to go to their store. Mind you, I haven't had to deal with them for service, so maybe its something I may have to avoid.
