Trip to the zoo!

One of my best friends since elementary school was back in Calgary for a week on break from school, and so we went to the zoo! I actually took over two hundred photos, but I can't post that many, so here are some of my favourites. I'll probably end up adding more!

I can't resist, here are a few of my favourite, the elephants <3

I really tried to capture the harmony and calmness I felt in the one of her being fed by the handler, and different parts of the elephants. I didn't include all of the photos I took, but I absolutely LOVE elephants. They're such gentle giants. I could go on and on, but I don't need to bore you guys with my elephant love. Or my crazy tree-hugger stance against circuses that have any animals, especially elephants. If it's any clue, I will never take my future children to any circus that uses animal performances.
Ok ok, I'm done!

The pictures are beautiful Ashely!! I really love how you really got pictures of those incredible spring colors. The elephant pictures look great too!

You're pictures alone make me want to visit my local zoo again, I feel its has been too long since my last visit.

Thanks everyone. This is my one of my favourite types of photography, macro flowers and gorgeous animals. They make the great pictures happen, not me
And Mike (Letsgodiving) I'm glad I'm not the only anti-circus person here
