Rubber strap and buckle question

Hi everyone,

I just changed to a rubber strap on my Pam. One I had a hard time removing the screw from the buckle from my leather strap where I was getting the buckle from...just wouldn't pull out after I turned the screw a few times. Is this normal? Also is the buckle screw supposed to have a tube like the screws that go through the case?

No, the buckle screw does not have a tube like at the case ends of a strap. Also, it can be quite tricky to get the screws out. I like to have a small paper clip handy to push out the screw once I know it's been turned out all the way.
