Canadian (Ottawa) MSRP on 116610 and 116613 ?

Gentlemen, find myself faced with a pretty silly dilemma. Sold my Sub-C a week ago and find myself regretting the impulse decision

I'm now based out of Ottawa and hoping to pick up either the Sub-C (again...sigh) or perhaps change it up and go for the 116613. I am aware of places to deal with in Toronto that offer a pretty decent discount (Damiani, Ashley, Raffi and Humbertown) but am at a total loss as to who to deal with in Ottawa.

What is the current Canadian MSRP on both models and would be very grateful for any pointers as to who to deal with and what discount to aim for....

msrp would be best calling an ad or a quick search here or on google but i would contact a trusted seller like bobby aka 'canwatchco' from the classifieds. its a short drive from ottawa to montreal.

Thanks for the advice Chewbacca. Will look up canwatchco...incidentally, I have dealt with david and tony G. in the past ...and enjoyed the experience!

If I can't go the AD route locally, I'm back knocking at trusted seller doors. I'm really hoping to establish a relationship with an AD locally since I find they deal with you so much better having sold you a watch...

What a dilemma. Hopefully I can help. The Canadian MSRP on the following are:

116610 LN: $9,150
116610 LV: $9,750
116613 LB: $14,445

Don't know the 116613 LN MSRP, but would assume it is the same as the LB. Can't speak about discounts back east, but in Vancouver, you can probably get a 10 to 15% discount off the 116610 LN and about 10% off the LV. A 20 to 25% discount can probably had on the 116613 LB. These discounts vary from AD to AD and most likely will depend on how much business you have given them in the past.

Good luck.

Bit of a trip, or a fedex run, but Howards in Ontario is a great AD.

Howard's at the corner of Bank & Sparks is very nice & friendly and they have a small service center/watchmaker on staff.

Thanks Brian. Already had a PM exchange and not the model I'm looking at at the moment. With regards to why I sold...my watch box hadn't seen much change in a while and in a fit of spontaneity I decided to let the Sub-C go. It's been two weeks and I'm regretting it already ...sounds pretty silly now but it HAD seemed like a good idea back then!!!

I've got some fantastic PM's for Jubilee and Howards in Ottawa. If anybody has done any recent deals with either it would be fantastic if you could guide me as to what I can expect in terms of a discount from either.

I thank you guys for the immediate responses and really appreciate them. You guys are amazing!

Brian: Thanks for the pointer, already exchanged emails with a few members regarding their trades but at this point in time interested in hitting the AD so I can develop a relationship with them. I've had to service a few watches recently and am finding that it's so much easier dealing with them for warranty work and otherwise if they've already sold you a watch and know you...

You also asked me why I sold the Sub-C...I loved that watch and had it for a year...then had this rather brilliant misguided idea to change up my watchbox and started with the Sub-C...I only sold it a few days ago and am already regretting the decision...pretty silly eh?!

1st_amg, really appreciate your PM and will be acting on it this week. Will keep you posted as to what I get back from your contact.

So far folks, I've had recommendations to Howards and Jubilee Jewellers in Ottawa. I'm familiar with both and will hit them up over the next few days.

Would appreciate if anybody that has done a relatively recent transaction with either one could give me some advice over a PM as to what discount to aim for...

I also want to thank everybody for taking the time to write to me...I'm extremely thankful for the helpful PM's and messages that I've received. I've been a long time lurker here and participate infrequently on a few other online forums...just don't find myself posting often enough as I'd like :)

My apologies gentlemen. I've had the watch for a couple of months now but never got around to posting pics. Watch was purchased from Jubilee Jewelers in Ottawa, ON.

Jubilee is one of our local Rolex AD's and I dealt with the Watch Boutique Manager, Gil H., who is extremely knowledgeable about the various Rolex models including vintage offerings. If any one of you guys are considering a purchase in Ottawa, I cannot recommend Gil enough!
