Incoming......Third Time's the Charm
For those of you who have offered their advice and opinions, will know that I have been contemplating whether or not to sell my Submariner Date 16610 LN to fund the purchase of a Submariner 114060 or to simply forgo the purchase of the 114060 and go straight to the Submariner Date 116613 LB.
After much thought on this matter, I am happy to say that I am a proud owner of a new Submariner 114060. I decided to keep my 16610 LN and add the 114060 to my current collection as I still love the way the 16610 LN looks. I still plan on obtaining a 116613 LB in the future, but after reading so many positive posts of the 114060 and trying it on many times at my AD, it became very apparent how fantastic this timepiece truly is and knew that I needed to have it. The fact it does not have a date, makes it very special and the upgrades on the clasp, bracelet and bezel simply sealed the deal. Also, for the folks who have followed my posts over the past couple of months will know this is the third Rolex I have purchased, the first two being the BLNR, then followed by the LV and now the Submariner. I think the itch caused by the Rolex bug has subsided now. I can now save up to purchase the Submariner Date 116613 LB for my 40th birthday, which is three years from now. I have posted a picture of my 114060 while at the AD this morning. Will post some more pictures when I get a chance later today or tomorrow. Again, thanks to all of the Forum members who responded to my previous posts on this matter. It is greatly appreciated. |

Congrats on a masterpiece.
It's becoming increasingly clear to me (as I'm sure it did for you) that the SubC is an irresistible need for the collection. I'm trying to distract myself away from it, but it keeps calling me calling me calling me... |

Congrats! Such an awesome watch. Now start saving up, you have three years until you pick up the next one…if you can wait that long.

Very nice.....Congrats.....it is surprising how many TRF members go on a buying binge, acquire and flip several Rollie's, and then end up buying the No Date Sub!
