Rolex Dealer Clock
Hey y'all, I'm still new so I'm sorry if this has been covered before, but I was curious if it is at all possible to obtain an AD wall clock. I know Rolex obviously doesn't just sell them but I also know it is not impossible for certain AD items to be given or sold to customers (though I have no idea under what situations). Now as far as AD clocks go I'm talking about just the simple classic fluted gold with the white dial. Also are the clocks themselves of the "Rolex quality" or are they pretty much just ordinary clocks that are made to look like giant Rolexes?

Welcome to TRF ColRam425. I would ask around at some AD's. There is also a thread on TRF that shows all the "dealer swag" given to customers. This may be something sold or given to people that have purchased many Rolexes. You may also try Ebay (but you have to be careful as many scammers and fakes).
Good luck in your search. |

Where at? I'm a sort of a Dallasite (Southlake) myself. And would it be inappropriate for me to ask what you paid for it? I've always been curious in what range they'd run straight from the source.

I too am after a Rolex clock. Not a gold DJ, but a Submariner.
Now i am aware that Rolex dont make them, but wondered if there are good & bad Submariner clocks, and what to look out for in terms of bad replicas and good ones. There are a few on ebay uk at the mo.. |

A fake one is something Rolex not have order or put in their shops. The real one is not made by Rolex but for Rolex, that is the difference.

Yeah, that occurred to me after I posted; I'm still trying to decide if it really matters...

Yes it's matter, at least when you look at the price tag.

Boy, you're not kidding there!
Just so I am clear, Rolex buys wall clocks as promotional items; I seriously doubt there is any kind of quality control involved so if you do buy a "fake" it's not like you are being cheated out of a "good" wall clock. I am sure the advanced collector (like you, Jocke!) will want only the real deal but to the rest of us it may not matter...

All clocks that look like subs are fake. Most are fake. Rolex has clocks made and use plain clocks, no date no particular model

Which is ironic because I think the sub ones are the coolest!
Guess I would be happy with a fake...

worth so much $$$. But that is not the same as they are cheap. The problem I have is when a "fake" company made watches and use Rolex name at the dial, then it's a fake watch. When Rolex order a watch and give their permission to the company that made them for Rolex to put their name at the dial it's a product from Rolex even if there are no Rolex parts in it. So it's up to anyone to do what they like so long they are honest and not say it's a product from Rolex if it's not.

Trying to come up with my explanation for security...
On the other hand, once you get the clock down you are good to go; they only search your stuff on the way in!
