panda dial (from yg)
This may be a silly question....with the panda dial being so sought after and with 2 versions available (WG and YG)...has anyone put the YG panda dial into a SS or WG Daytona? I definitely see a lot of panda dial from WG being put in SS, but was wondering about this combo. Wondering if yellow gold around the numbers would stand out too much or if it would be barely distinguishable.
While we are on it, has anyone put the blue arab dial (from YG) into a SS? |

i think the luminous surrounds are gold... so you have gold on the dial on a stainless watch.

IMHO.... Any YG dial put on SS or WG will look awful... People will think it fake or frankenwatch...... |

I believe there is a panda dial option from the two tone Daytona that will fit the SS Daytona. I've been thinking of putting a panda dial on my SS Daytona, but hesitate to do so not only for the frankenwatch effect, but also, do I really want, someone to open my $12,000 watch and tinker with it, especially while it's still under warranty?

Haha, thanks for your input guys. I've been scratching my head a bit on this one as well. Mainly because I found a 116519 that I may be interested in (but with a dial that I don't like). So, instead of buying a separate dial, I was toying with the idea of maybe getting a two tone in addition to the WG and swapping dials. Still trying to figure out what to do.
Danex - I thought the two tone panda dial was the same as the YG one? Yeah, I feel the same. If I ever went that route, I'd probably want to wait until after the warranty as well. |
