i've been thinking about aquiring a 16520 quit some time now

some questions to the specialist since i am more of a Sub guy (till now)

any specific things i should be aware of/look out for ?
what year/series is most interesting ?
difference black of white dial or just taste ?
inverted 6 ?
Patrizzi ?
...

thank you for your input !

16520's have had a lot of swapped out dials/cases.. be careful if you go after an early serial one... (make sure you read through this site to match up bezels, dials etc: http://doubleredseadweller.com/watch-info/daytona/) don't believe there is a premium on black/white dial... prices seem to be about the same. Check this out:

Please note that there have been a lot of different dials for the Zenith Daytona and the same can be said for the bezel. Be sure to study a lot before pulling the trigger.

Here's mine, but you might not recognize it as a 16520.

It's nice to see a thread dedicated to the Zenith Daytonas. Here is my "rare" 16523 that I purchased several years ago with an early "S" serial number. It rarely gets any wrist time but I love it still the same!

Why won't Rolex do this - the idea is staring them in the face! Oh, it must be b/c they are too busy making black and blue sea-dwellers!
