116619 - Yellow Gold Hands & Text??

I'm in the process of picking up a new Sub and was trying on a blue sub and noticed the hands and text were yellow gold. This seemed odd to me on a White gold model. This was at my local Rolex AD in Austin TX? Is this normal? Most of the other 116619's I've seen online are all white.

This is not normal. Seems like the dial is from a 116613...that's very strange. I would have questioned the AD to see what he says about it.

Definitely doesn't seem normal. Looks like they took it from a 116618LB or TT sub.

Thats odd.. I'll have to ask them if I get back in. It was advertised as brand new and was with all the other new watches in the case. It still had all the plastic and hang tags on it as well.

It's a little hard to tell for sure from the pic, but the surrounds look to be yellow too.

Oh I definitely think they are. It is an old "flat" blue 116613 dial and hands on a WG Sub.

On a supposedly BNIB (still has stickers) piece at an AD? Someone was asleep at the switch that day.

I'm surprised the AD didn't notice it immediately when he received it. Then again, no I'm not.

BTW, isn't the 116618 available with either blue dial or did that change to the flat blue only?

And then list it for $36k as a 116619? I doubt it.

It looks like a little AD swap out to me - that is a 116613LB dial or a 116618LB
