Watch Winder Advice for Vintage
I got my first Rolex recently - an 80s era Oyster DateJust. I then bought a watch winder. The winder has 5 Turns Per Day (TPD) settings from 650 to 1800 (650, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800).
It also can turn Clockwise, Counter-Clockwise and Alternating C&CC. Sorry for the basic question but... any thoughts on the appropriate settings for this watch. Thanks in advance. |

A Rolex will wind in either direction so set it to alternate for more even wear patterns. 650TBD is sufficient.

I'm not a friend of watch winders!
IMHO it's ok for watches that can only be put on the right time by watch makers like for example perpetual calendars. But what reason can one have to put wear on the mechanical parts, when it's not needed??? Setting a whatch is a thing of 1 Minute... Just my 2cents |
