Can blue lume be Super Luminova or . . .
Talked with an AD today who has GMT's with both black and BLNR bezels. He stated that both have blue lume. I assumed they had the new Chromolite. When I asked if that were true he believed them to be Super Luminova.
So, my question. Can Super Luminova be found in green and blue? Or, is the AD mistaken and blue lume assures that it is Chromolite? |

Luminova can come in a variety of different colors.
Chromolite is Rolex name for their blue lume, but it's still likely provided by Nemoto in their Super Luminova paint compound family, just like they have Cerachrome as a name for their ceramic and so forth.

The color of the bars indicate the appearance of the marker/indices when not illuminated. I believe Rolex in the past used C1 but are now using BGW9.

However there is blue Superluminova and Omega uses it on their watches. But on Rolexes blue = Chromalight. I believe the only exception might be one of the DJll that has multi coloured lume plots on the dial in both blue and green which may be superluminova. |

Where can the blue superluminova be purchased to re-apply to a watch dial?
