Do you prefer Day Date on Strap or Bracelet?

Think I am going for the gold. I am having a hard time deciding between the bracelet model or the strap. Would love to know which you prefer for a one and only rolex pics are from my friend Thanh :)

Can always do both on an aftermarket strap, so I'd go bracelet.

Both look great; I must admit that the strapped ones are growing on me (especially those with the original Rolex straps).

Get the Bracelet and buy the strap latter if you want it. The iconic DD includes the gold bracelet and it really makes the watch. The main concern with the DD is that you love the dial and they can be changed too. IMHO

Beautiful Watch and Thanh is a great guy!

My DD says Hi!

The Day-Date is just a Day-Date without the President bracelet. Definitely buy it with a bracelet, and shop for some nice bands.
If you want to go all out, check with George for some gold end links to go with the strap!

I bought a birth year DD on a crocodile strap and I felt that it wasn't complete without the bracelet so I ended up buying one. So definitely the bracelet is what makes it a DayDate in my opinion. Also, I like being able to put the leather strap back on it sometimes to give my bracelet a break. Just my 2 cents.

Unlikely you will get any votes for leather in a choice of bracelet vs strap, but they are at very different price points. Given you are indicating it is your only watch then depending on your skin type and energy levels you may wear through straps very regularly. If it was my only watch I would need to replace the strap every 9-12 months. Bracelet should last forever..... The leather does loon nice new but it wont stay that way sadly. My Bark says hello as well, just so we can all keep your enthusiasm up for one of the Rolex Icon's

The president bracelet *is* the watch to me. On anything else, it might as well be a Datejust.

Agree. Get the watch with the bracelet. Then buy a nice strap or two to switch for variation.

Even on a bang up bracelet, it looks good.
