Technically my 16613 isn't a dress watch either but I wore it at a wedding last month and got compliment after compliment. A gold daytona is in the same boat i think

You could wear that almost anywhere.
In Japan you could definitely wear it everywhere except maybe Kabukicho Great angle on the photo, no reflection off the crystal at all.

I understand what you mean about it not being a "dress watch" per se, but the size and shape of the Daytona make it more so than the other tool watches in the Rolex line. I wear my SS Daytona with a suit now and then. I'd say they are a no-no for a Tux, but go okay with a business suit. |
