Bezel indexing

I notice that the triangle on the bezel is almost always indexed at 12 o'clock in the pics posted here; I have also noticed that most folks keep it that way when wearing in public as well.

I use my bezels on my SD and sub as coarse timers very frequently, and just leave them wherever they end up after timing an event. Accordingly, they are almost never at the 12 o'clock position. Does this make me some kind of freak?

I usually leave mine at 50. Don't ask the logic of this, for some strange reason I like it there

It doesn't make you a freak it just makes you a man that uses the feature of his watch which in my own perspective is really cool

I hold the bezel stationary and turn the watch when I need a timer. What was your point about freaks?

I think it's brilliant you actually use the bezel for timing stuff. I have turned my SD bezel...ummm...twice in 6 months. Just goes to show how we use them for what they're designed for! Hehehehe

I guess technically the bezel is completely independent from the dial, so it really doesn't matter much...

It's just the obsessive compulsive problems many of us have, and how tidy it looks at the top.

Great question. I use mine only when I order food from say a pizza joint. They will kindly tell me my order will be ready to pick up in 20 minutes to a half an hour. I then set my bezel accordingly. I pick my orders up mostly. Think of all the tip money you can save toward a new watch!! Cheers.

I'm one of those 12 o'clock weirdo's. If it is not right on 12 it sort of niggles at me. In the regular world you are the normal one and I'm the freak. That's why I hang out here so much. Crazy likes company.
