Icon5 Question for Speedmaster experts....

I have been looking at a 'sandwich' Speedmaster as a nice addition to my collection; and recently saw that there is a new model number for the watch. What are the differences with the previous model? (I have tried omega.ch but can not find what is new/different)

Thank you all in advance!

Omega started selling the Speedmaster Pro in a new fancy box that comes with a few nylon straps, a loop, and a caseback looking thing. It added $750 to the price and they changed the ref. number. No change to the watch, I don't think.

That's my understanding of it, anyway. Others can correct me if there's more to it than that.

The new "Sapphire Sandwich" ref. number is 311.30.42.30.01.006. Aside from the fancy new packaging, the bracelet now uses screws rather than the collar/pins. Otherwise the watch is identical to the old ref. 3573.50.

Correct. Well, that and the price increase of $750. My understanding is that if you can find a 3753.50 in the old packaging the price should be based on the old MSRP of $5,500. The new MSRP is $6,250.
