New Member. SeaDweller incoming--
Hello. I've been a long time reader of this forum but decided to finally join today. I bought my first Rolex (14060M Submariner) new from an AD in 2007. At the time I was 33 years old and had just landed my current job. It was an extravagance at the time but I was able to afford it and so I went for it.
I never babied the watch. Chipped the crystal during the first week I had it (banged against my wife's watch while we were walking...she's a lefty and wears on her right). But I never abused it. Just wore it all the time. Now, at age 7, the watch needs a service. This year, I turned 40. Celebrating 20 years with the same woman (married for 18 of them), paid off the mortgage, so I felt I was entitled to a bit more extravagance. So, to ease the pain of sending my old friend off to the spa, I placed an order for the new SeaDweller 4000. I will be picking it up from the AD tomorrow. It's more than twice what I paid for my Sub seven years ago, and I do feel a tinge of guilt. But the guilt is superseded by excitement for getting a new Rolex. And not just any Rolex. I always liked the SeaDweller, but just couldn't afford it back in 2007. My only concern is I have small wrists (6.5") and I do worry about how it will feel on my wrist. I'm so used to the light bracelet and relative thinness of the 14060M. I'd love to see some photos from SeaDweller 4000 owners. Am I going to be as in love as I think I am? Thanks for reading. I will post pictures when I receive the watch |

Well deserved, paying off your mortgage is a big achievement. The sea-dweller 4000 should look great on your wrist.

You may want to take the divers extension out for a more comfortable fit. Your AD will do it for you. I did this with my DSSD.
Welcome to TRF & congratulations! |

Welcome to TRF! The 116600 is quite a bit heavier than your 14060M, but that weight is distributed pretty evenly (e.g., bracelet, clasp). With the glidelock clasp, you are pretty much guaranteed a perfect fit for your wrist.
