Experience with preownedrolex.com (aka Timekeeper)
Has anyone recently purchased a Rolex from this dealer? If so, what was your experience? What is the reputation of this dealer among the members of this forum?

This same issue came up a few weeks ago and got very nasty. I haven't bought from him, but I got close. (Personal emergency resulted in a financial hit that temporarily sidelined me from the watch-buying game.) He contacted me several times when he thought he might have something that would interest me, but was never pushy. He admits that he has a problem with his temper, but I intend to do business with him in a few months. Seems people love him or hate him. All i have to say from my interaction with him is positive.

I asked him about selling my watch on consignment and I guess he didn't want to because he sent back "What you got", and after sending pics I never heard anything. A "Thanks, but i'm not interested" would have been nice but it's not really a deal breaker if he has something you really want.

What you got---you never sent me any pictures
I never got a photo from any body in an e-mail on a consignment --NEVER ---NOT ONCE--NOT FROM ANY BODY FROM ANY WHERE-- because I just started to try selling consignment April 1st--have not even had much genuine interest in the program except 2 locals and one previous client.
I don't want to take credit for being neglectful or being an A-hole if I don't deserve it. Try again if you "got" something decent for sale--never know--I might like it. Cayce Last edited by Vandy; 16 April 2008 at 05:26 AM.. Reason: left out date |

For what is worth, I sent an email to info@preownedrolex.com 22nd March about one of the Expy II listed there, asking if they ship to Australia and shipment, insurance, payment options. Not an answer back. Maybe the email got lost, then it's just fate

As I just posted on another thread, vandy/Cayce was great to deal with. I just received my "M" blk/blk/ss Sub and it was in impeccable condition. All interactions were very positive and I would recommend.

KAI--aka TRFer 2CARELESS-I answered your in less than a few hours
This is getting down right silly getting beaten up time and again for supposedly not answering e-mails- I get over 500 e-mails a week and only here do I get subjected to inaccurate postings ---none--not a one from anywhere else.
well--the message source provided by Outlook Express does not lie and again provides the proof that I responded- DO you really think I am that stupid to not respond to people with MONEY?: I answered the fellow's e-mails from Austraila in just barely a few hours- From: "Timekeeper Internet Sales" <vu480@comcast.net> To: "Kai xx" References: <000001c88bb3xxxxxxxxxxxxa8c0@oyang.local> edited to hide addresses Subject: Re: Rolex Explorer II #9281s Date: Fri, 21 Mar 2008 21:22:23 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0448_01C88B99.A72FE450" X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.xxxx.3138 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.xxxx.3198 This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0448_01C88B99.A72FE450 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Wire transfer only please---13 links--$60 shipping insured Express mail = declared vale of insurance THANKS Cayce ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Kai xx=20 To: info@preownedrolex.com=20 Sent: Friday, March 21, 2008 7:26 PM Subject: Rolex Explorer II #9281s Dear Cayce, =20 Do you send watches to Australia, and what shipment + insurance + = payment options do you offer? Cayce,
Obviously you have replied, but I didn't receive it. So that's just "fate". I do have my email with the same service provider for the last 8 years without a beat. However, this is just Internet. However, I'm extremely disappointed/ angry that you posted all my details/email addresses in public without my consent. I do want my privacy to be observed and your action is totally uncalled for. I will never deal with you and will advise anyone about this when they ask. |

Some people just cannot get it right--
my posts all have always been edited to carefully cover private info--- goes to show why you made the first post--what is wrong with READING the whole thing?

Vandy obviously has a successfull business and knows what he is doing. I think it is very silly for you all to cry over these issues. Vandy, I personally think you would be crazy to have any dealings with Mr. Careless "fate" from down under (I dont know how you deal with these kind of people daily, as I am sure you do). Keep up the good work, I hope to buy a watch from you in the near future.
