Considering the 116622 YM blue dial as my next watch. Not had a chance to see one at an AD yet as none in my area have one at the moment. Can anyone comment on how it is for size. I am not a big watch person and am used to my DateJust. I also find the 40mm explorer II fine for size. On the too big side is the new 42mm explorer II and also the Sub C I find to be pushing it due to its bulk. The GMT2-C is about on the threshold for me. Obviously it's best I go and check it out in person but wondered if anyone with the YM could give some input.

It wears a bit on the smaller side for me because of the case design, imo. My wrist is 7.5".

I have tried one out against a DJII also blue. Compared for half an hour.It looks smaller and feels lighter than DJII for sure and what a glamour piece it is! I say "Go For It". It'll be more like 40mm Exp II

Funny thing, the watch is basically a submariner but it looks so much better. IMHO..

Thanks. I guessed due to the more tapered/rounded case it would wear similar to the 40mm explorer II. Just need to find one locally to try on. When making a deal on it should I be aiming for discount similar to a two tone model as technically the 116622 is part precious metal and part steel or should I be looking at it as a steel sports? I also don't suspect they are Rolex biggest seller.

I would bet your best discounts would be right here in the classifieds...seen some pretty good deals lately.

I've tried both DJ II & this YM. I found the YM wore smaller & was more comfortable. It felt the same as my Sub 14060. :-)

Great pics Tom. It does look slightly less bulky than the SubC and the GMT2C. Think I need to try and see one in the metal and try it on next to my 116200 and 16570. Also need to see what sort of deal I can swing.
