Is this person serious??

I was looking around for a Sub-date, and here's one of the conversations. It was someone I emailed off a forum, "Timekeeper sales", I don't know if this person was being serious or is just out there, but the overall tone I got was that I'm talking to a wanna be gangster

Note that I have removed actual email addresses for privacy purposes.

Cayce,

What can you tell me about the watch? Are you the original owner? Is the warranty USA or overseas?

Maybe we can work something out?

Their response..

1st of all --the price is not negotiable unless you pay in $100 bills. Shipping is an additional $50 insured. Google Checkout is acceptable to USA addresses. Our inventory lasts less than 24 to 48 hours anyway and it will be gone somewhere very quickly because of it's "brand new likeness"

I traded back for it on a brand new two Tone sub. I am not the original owner--I sell over 1,500 Rolex watches a year and it is just another fantastic inventory item. Warranty papers are from overseas dealer.

I think I answered them all .

Thanks

cayce

Cayce is in this forum, I do not know him, but i do know from other threads that he is definitley a legitimate seller but some potential buyers have complained about his manner in emails etc. I must repeat i have never dealt with him, i will try and find the thread because there was an "argument" the other day.

Sure, that's Vandy from Nashville. He freely admits he's rude and arrogant

I've never dealt with him but from his past posts on the buy and sell he seems pretty straight up to me.....

Yep--that's me

Yes..that's me.. aka "the rude, arrogant, mean and now technically challenged watch seller". Sorry if I offended anyone by answering questions in a precise and direct method. I even said thanks.

I just tell it like it is ....unlike a lot of folks who want to make you feel "warm and fuzzy"---

After several e-mail exchanges prior to that( he neglected to mention that on this form ) and an offer of almost $700 less than my price on a a 2007 Sub DATE, He asked me A QUESTION, a bunch of them--I gave the answers and when I said $100 bills--no gangster puns intended, but that's the only way I would have discounted that watch. Credit cards cost, wires cost. checks cost etc. He asked --I told him.

Guess I screwed up again--now I can add another adjective to my already cruddy alias.

Anyway another TRF member bought the watch and is already wearing it.

Again,

I am sincerely sorry if I offended anyone
.

At least you're honest and sell real Rolex Watches. Not like the pond scum that keeps floating up that we have to battle all the time selling fakes and scams.

I'd buy a watch from you any day.

Vandy, I don't recall calling you any of those names. While I did find your email a little on the rude side, again, just the way you act?

Sure you do. I know every time I deal w/ someone, no matter what, I want to feel "warm and fuzzy" too. Sounds to me like you say this more to convince yourself, however.

There is a difference in having manners and being cordial, as opposed to blunt or rude. But..ok.

Yes, I did email to see if I could negotiate a price. You rejected my offer. So? I hardly think the questions I asked you could be categorized as "a bunch of them". I think I asked you 2 questions?

Also, the reason for the drastic difference in offer price was that I confused your Rolex w/ another one-a D series sub.

I would have bothered to email you back and properly explain that, but then, of course, you took care of that for us.

I get the sneaky suspicion you won't be using Vandy for all your watch buying needs.

You bet I would...in a heart beat...

... and you would luv me forever when you got the watch, even as mean and grumpy as I am.

..and I do luv that word "classy". I guess I'd better not use it though. I might get called on the rug on that one.

Well fellows--it's been good visitin' with you today but I have to go to the lake--my boat awaits me.

Cayce in Nashville

GONE SAILING ...You'll have to carry on without me.

OK, $800 and that's my final offer.

This offer is contingent upon shipping next day air, fully insured by a lingerie clad Penthouse model.
