1803 florentine finish

Hey guys can anyone tell me about this so called florentine finish on the 1803. A couple of questions I had.
Is it original?
Does it command a premium?

I'm not sure if it's original or not. Any decent jeweler could do it. I've had it done on rings, and on an 1803, I LOVE it. Would I pay a premium for it? No

To be frank, custom florentine finish.

Not factory. Never an 1803 came from the factory with anything other than the standard metal finishes.

Are you sure that Rolex did not offer the Florentine finish on the 1803 ?

Rolex produced a DD with a morellis finish - Cal 1811 - google it.

If yours is an 1803 then the finish is aftermarket.

No 1803 is a florentine finish, reference should be 1806.

If you are referring to the 1803 you are correct since it is the 1806 model

You asked if I was sure that ref. 1803 never came with Florentine finish. I replied that I am sure. The watch shown in the photos here does not exhibit even the correct factory "Florentine" finish for ref. 1806. This finish is aftermarket, not factory, non-original, not from Rolex. Not sure what more there is to say.

Haughty or gaudy? Some may think the "Florentine" finish a bit flashy, but I've never heard one accused of arrogance.

No it's a mix and match

It's next to impossible to get a definitive answer since rolex dealers often would make a request that a customer would ask.

The more unusual finishes will not add value to the watch, but if u like it - then just enjoy it..like I do mine

We are talking about a 1800 series watches, correct band for florentine finish in pic below. A president florentine finish bracelet was not made yet. It came on the 18000 series as your watch is judging by the the diamond dial styling and flat profile of your dial. not my pic borrowed from the net.
