Sea Dweller (questions on differences)

Hello,
I am flirting with the idea of picking up a Sea Dweller 16600 and doing some initial research. My question is: are there any differences amongst the years produced (serial letters). If so, what are they and are there ones that tends to be more highly sought after or command a higher premium?

Thanks in advance for any information or direction you can provide!

Not a lot of change in the 16600 since introduction 1988/9 main difference the change from Tritium lume to Luminover around 1998.Just the word Swiss bottom the dial around 1998-2000.Dials from 2000 on Swiss Made bottom dial and a few minor fonts changes and that's about it, till it was discontinued with the V serials.

.

we can also note the lug holes up to 2003 , no holes after that. In 2003 is also the introduction of the LEC.

the minor changes mentioned are true throughout the line, not just the SD.

Essentially it is the same watch. Rolex does not make any changes based on a serial number or number prefix.

Get the one in the best condition you can find for the price you want to pay

Thank you. So there weren't any years that ran the "Rolex Rolex Rolex" on the Rehaut ring, correct?

Hi Razor,

I happen to have a Y Serial (bottom: roughly 2002) and an N Serial (top: 1991) and as you can see the differences are very minimal. Nearing the end of the run of the 16600 the case lost the holes and became the no holes case which tend to be a little more pricey because of the age.

I am currently selling the Y Serial, so if you are in the market PM me :)
