Incoming Datejust 1603 from circa 1973
Thank you
I've been a tad naughty being honest. Saving for my personal Grail (Explorer 39mm) but this came along. As I plan to add the Explorer next December I needed something to tide me over from the Explorer fund! Datejust vintage obtained Explorer - modern Airking - intend on vintage Sub - vintage or modern undecided = personal collection covered as for me the ultimate watch box and Rolex goes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats. Looks awesome. I am looking for one of these myself.
Do you have any idea what a full service would cost for 1603 (not performed by RSC but an authorized service person). Looks forward to the pics. |

Unfortunately not :(
I only have experience of a few UK indies and authorised guys I'm sure if you have a scoot about there will be links, threads, posts with good indies both authorised and otherwise etc. My datejust arrived today (worn out to my 6 yr olds school nativity play) first time in the field. Today was a good day. Happy hunting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi there,
New combo looks great but one thing I concern is this look might blow all of the classic taste... Maybe it just only happen to me... but a very good try indeed!!! |

Ha ha Blowing classic taste may be a tad harsh. But I see what your saying. I like the modern meets vintage a moulding of eras if you will. I find strap variations are a nice/interesting way to mix styles, eras and a inexpensive way of getting a different "look" out of one head. I do love the vintage traditional datejust look, and I have the original jubilee bracelet for the watch when it's time to head back to the classic look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
