Would you trade?

Dear all!
Normally a bit active in the patek section... I currently have two nautilus, one 5712 and one 5711 (white). Would you trade the 5711 plus 2000 usd in cash against an offshore carbon 44mm (2013)?

Also would appreciate any comments around this new off-shore range.

Regards

Yes, not a fan of the white and the 5712 is pure class so an AP is in order.

I'm in the midst of deciding to do a trade for a FC44 which I like and having said that I would NOT do your deal. The values dont line up to me as I see pre-owned Pateks selling for similar if not more $$$ then pre-owned FC 44's.

I would consider the deal (since you have another Patek in hand) as the FC44 would give you some great versatility but only under revised terms (even up at minimum).

Probably less cash involved and I'd say it's not a bad idea. Would make a nice combo with two very different watches. But the two pateks aren't too shabby either !

Idk if value wise it's good, but I like the 44mm FC very much.

Personally not a fan of the white 5711. Not sure about how the value of the trade pans out but if you think you'd wear the 44FC more, then by all means go for it. Sure Patek is Patek and all that, but the 44FC isn't exactly a downgrade. An AP that you will wear and enjoy more is worth more than a Patek that you won't wear as much, IMO.

I'm not a fan of the white Patek either but others are.

Love AP classic models but the FC 44mm is more trendy and not worth the trade. Imo.

I will do it. It is a great luxury/sport watch and a great complement to the beautiful 5712 in steel. Not particularily fond of the white 5711. As others have mention, just keep an eye on what you end up offering in cash.

Good luck!
