I've decided my foray into the world of quality watches will begin with a Seamaster Professional. I've set a budget of about $1500-2k USD, I'm not super picky on the type. I'm partial to the seamaster professionals (don't really like the planet oceans/chronos), I don't mind the wavey dials and I'd like the bezel to have color as well, not metal. Definitely don't want anything but an automatic. Let me know if you have anything for me!

I could be persuaded to spend the money on a 2220.80 with that nice slate blue color, but I'm more looking for a 2531.80.
