Ceramic bezel vs glass desk...
...and bezel won!
Felt my watch nick the edge of my desk, not hard at all. Saw this, about 3 mm long, and a corresponding small glass chip on my chair. No marks of any type on the bezel. Tough ceramic!

I believe the corner of the bezel closest to the desk edge chip is the responsible party. |

Gotta love the ceramic bezel! I'm sure the SS bezel would not have fared nearly as well.
