I got the black because one came up from a Seller that I've dealt with before but sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten the silver. I like the metallic reflection on the silver dial.

But on the black dial, the indices are more noticeable which I like.

The black looks so good in pictures but I am wondering what the difference is like in person. As JF mentioned there is a metallic play in the silver dial which might be neat.

Tried both but went with the white/silver. Love it and no regrets. Just remember the dial on the 15300 is not the same white.

I liked the classic more dressy combo of white dial and brown strap, as I had a few other black dials. If you prefer a black strap or the bracelet I would go black dial as black and gold have a nice sexy/sporty contrast.

AP 15400 OR Black Vs White

Black for me. I struggled with this decision for at least 6 months before deciding. My conclusion was that silver photographs best but in real life I found it to be too monotone. If it came with the pearly white dial found on the 15300, I would have jumped on it.

Although I am partial to black dials in general.

Very happy with my black dial, truth is both change colour in the light, Mine can vary between, black, grey and silver depending on how it reflects with the light reflection on the unique AP dial.

15400? black (or blue).

I like the white (silver) face with the rose gold but, if it were stainless, no question, the blue face wins hands down for me.

A straight choice between the 2 then it's black every day of the week. My wife had a silver/white lady oak and to me it's hard to read. I would really consider boutique only blue, look at the market as ultimately these are rarer birds and IMO more sought after.

I just realized the question was dial choice with rose gold.... With RG, there can be only one: white dial.

I didn't realize it was for RG. I believe the RG gets a white pearly dial in lieu of the silver variant on the 15400?? Anybody confirm this?

Interesting. I wonder if this is true!

I am also leaning towards bracelet not strap. Don't know if that changes anyones opinion.

Yes Tom, on RG the white is not as silver as the SS 400s, same on my ROC.

If on bracelet I would go for the black dial, for more contrast, on strap white.
