Rolex Was Here

The picture doesn't do it justice -- I'm in severe pain.

My arms, shoulders, face, ears, feet, upper back, and tops of my legs are toast. Went fishing, and all I caught was this lousy sunburn.

Little blisters are forming; yuck and yikes!

What on Earth does that USMC stand for?

I am very proud of the people that put themselves in harm's way to protect our freedoms.

That sunburn looks painful. I have that to look forward to in getting re-acclimated to the bicycle for the season. Take care.

I usually don't burn like this. This was my first time "out" this summer, so my "base tan" obviously was a bit too basic.

I'm not too happy right now, needless to say...

No, it could have been a Red Emporer Fish or a 'Pinkie' (baby snapper).

Look at it this way, after the pain has gone and some of the blisters have popped along with the skin drying, think of the enjoyment you'll have in peeling the layers of dry skin off.

Not to mention, when you rub the dry skin off with the palm of your hand it will look like dandruff when it's all over the floor and furniture.

I have been sunburnt very badly over the years through various water sports and surfing. This was all well before sunscreen came into vogue.

Enjoy that skin peeling too.

At least you know your watch provides some good sunscreen.

Need some aloe that has been stored in the refrigerator to help cool the skin. I don't think the aloe helps with the overall sunburn. But man, it sure does feel good.

Why I don't wear a watch while tanning - I hate the tan line.

Sorry about your sunburn!
