Vintage Rolex dial/bracelet interchangeable with current styles?
Hello fellas,
I managed to get a ref 1500 circa 1967 few weeks ago. Actually was planning to sell it but now i think i may keep it. The dial has a little discolouration at the 6 position and i am planning to replace it. Also the oval jubilee is stretched. Shall i replace the dial with a new modern date dial(115200)? The dimensions are same but offcourse my 1500 has the 1570 movement and not the new generation 3xxx series. Dial feet and height and date window will fit? What about the hands also? Also as you can see, last owner had polished the whole case(wrong for 1500 but fine for 115200 and i am considering adding an oyster band for this. Any chance that new sel style bracelet would fit on the 1500 case? What do you think? |

Agree with the above. No to all.
With the minor exception - good quality leather strap to save further wear to the jubilee. Other than that leave it :) |
